Simply put, Spear Marketing sells its products using independent marketers or consultants. In return for selling Spear's products a commission is earned.

Considering the thousands Mercedes spend on TV commercials, it is not surprising. 

So then we ask, "do you own a Mercedes-Benz?". This time only a fraction will respond with a yes. 

Commercial advertising is great for brand awareness but it doesn't have the personal connection. People in general will prefer to buy from a recommendation. Ask yourself which do you value more? Option 1; A 30 seconds corporate commercial on TV or, Option 2; A personal reccommendation from a friend. The answer is obvious.and this is why many businesses prefer to sell their products using the direct sales/network marketing method.
